Graham Gold has made public the playlist for this edition of Esta La Musica on Scientific Sound Asia, originally aired on Saturday 23 May 2020. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an English-language Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency and music news outlet with a global following.
Esta La Musica takes its name from a tattoo Graham received on his right arm while DJing in Los Angeles in the late 1990s. After leaving Kiss 100 and relocating to Southeast Asia, he used the phrase for a weekly show focused on Techno, House Music and related electronic styles.
Graham’s early club reputation was built in London through a decade-long residency at Gulliver’s Club in Mayfair. Playing six nights a week gave him extensive experience with dancefloors before his later work on radio and the international circuit.
His musical background reaches back to West London in the early 1970s, when he co-founded The Funky Road Show with a friend. The mobile disco grew from his interest in Afrocentric music and became a recognised name in the city’s club and party scene.
By the age of 18, Graham was playing Black music five nights a week across London. His selections moved through Reggae, Soul, Disco and Jazz Funk, giving him a broad foundation before his later work in House, Trance and Techno.
During the 1980s, Graham worked across London pirate radio before joining the Radio London Soul Night Out team. He later hosted a Saturday-night Soul programme on Capital FM, receiving the station’s Broadcaster of the Year award in 1985.
Graham was involved with Kiss FM London from its early period, and his later Kiss 100 broadcasts brought his work to a worldwide audience. Alongside the Peach club brand, those shows helped establish his international profile within club culture and specialist radio.
He spent eight consecutive years in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll and was later listed by Dash among its most popular DJs in the world of all time. His career has since linked UK radio history, global club bookings and his South East Asian base.
Graham continues to perform across Asia and internationally while keeping Esta La Musica active as a weekly platform. The show presents House and Techno with promos from labels and artists across Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House and Techno, Tech House, Deep Tech, Organic House and Techno.

DJ Graham Gold presents Esta La Musica 353 on Scientific Sound Asia, with a selection moving through Progressive House, Melodic House and Techno, Tech House, Peak Time Techno, Electronica and Dance Music. The episode features music from Koschk, Paul Sawyer, Max Freegrant, Stan Kolev, Moshic, Carsten Halm, Rick Pier O'Neil, D-Formation, Sean & Dee, Chus & Ceballos, Jordan Gill and Simon Sinfield.
Koschk opens with Function in the Iga Deep remix on Bonzai Progressive, placing the programme inside Progressive House. Paul Sawyer follows with Terminus in the Mir Omar remix on Krafted Underground, keeping the early section in the same progressive direction.
Max Freegrant’s Nazar appears in the Stan Kolev remix on Freegrant, extending the Progressive House opening. Moshic then adds Axis Mundi on Contrast Records, giving the first half another deeper progressive entry.
Carsten Halm’s Synergie on Project 13 moves the episode into Melodic House and Techno. Rick Pier O'Neil and Robert Mason then return the show to Progressive House with The Last in the Aaron Suiss remix on Outta Limits.
D-Formation and Sean & Dee bring Nihal on Beatfreak, followed by Bondarev’s The Warp in the Ewan Rill and K Loveski remix on Lowbit. Both tracks keep the middle section focused on Progressive House before the programme shifts into broader electronic material.
Boy With Boat’s Substance on Recovery Collective brings an Electronica entry into the late section. HOSH and 1979 then feature Jalja on Midnight (The Block Chain), adding a Dance Music turn through Dear Deer.
Chus & Ceballos bring Tech House into the closing stretch with Heart Of Glitter on Toolroom. Jordan Gill then moves the set back to Melodic House and Techno with Break on Dear Deer White.
Marc Erberich’s Lost Feelings on Apriori shifts the programme towards Peak Time Techno. Simon Sinfield closes Esta La Musica 353 with Decadence on Krafted Underground, returning the final track to Progressive House.
