After Hours announce host Patrize and guest Fran Bianco for 425

After Hours, hosted by PatriZe, and guest DJ, Fran Bianco returns with another edition on Scientific Sound Asia, featuring two hours of underground electronic music. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting regional and international artists with listeners worldwide.

The programme is centred on Progressive House, while also drawing from deeper, melodic and Techno-influenced areas of electronic music. Its format places the host in the first hour before a guest DJ takes over for the second.

Originally from Belgium and now based in Thailand, he began exploring electronic music at a young age after acquiring his first turntables. His early interests leaned towards harder Trance and Techno before gradually shifting towards the more melodic and structured side of Progressive House.

An important stage in his development came in 2010 through his connection with Pole Folder of Bedrock Records and Reworck. During the same period, he won the Night Museum DJ competition in France and earned the opportunity to open for Guy J.

Those experiences helped strengthen his connection with the international Prog House scene and shaped the direction his DJing would take. His sets developed around careful track selection, gradual progression and melodic detail supported by deeper and more technical rhythms.

He later established Foundations and After Hours as regular radio platforms from Thailand. Both programmes have provided space for his own selections while also introducing guest DJs and producers from different parts of the underground electronic music community.

In April 2015, PatriZe co-founded AH Digital with fellow Belgian DJ and producer Hypnotised. The label became closely connected with their production work and with a wider network of artists working across Progressive House.

Their early collaboration People from the Otherworld became one of the project’s notable releases, reaching number four in Beatport’s Progressive House chart while also entering its Techno and Tech House rankings. The title track was later remixed by Rui Da Silva, adding another established producer to the release.

AH Digital has since provided an outlet for original productions, remixes and releases from artists connected with the wider Progressive House community. Its relationship with After Hours also allows PatriZe to support music from producers whose work fits naturally within the direction of the programme.

Alongside his label activity, PatriZe continues to work as a DJ and producer while using radio as an important part of his connection with the underground scene. His approach remains focused on deeper Progressive House, melodic development and controlled pacing rather than abrupt changes in style.

Each edition of After Hours gives PatriZe space to establish the musical direction during the opening hour before handing over to a guest for the second. The format connects his own selections with a broader international network of DJs and producers working across underground Progressive House.

This edition’s guest DJ is Fran Bianco, real name Francisco Bianco, a DJ and producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began mixing music at the age of fourteen and started studying production two years later, establishing the foundations for his work in electronic music.

Fran’s catalogue has appeared through labels including Soundteller, 3rd Avenue, Strangers Beats, Transensations Records, OLD SQL Recordings and AH Digital. His production work has covered Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno, Deep House, Breaks and related electronic styles.

His influences include John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Muir, Dixon, Acid Pauli, Joris Voorn, Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Sahar Z. That range is reflected in a production style that can shift between deeper Progressive structures, melodic club music and more rhythm-driven material.

Among his more recent releases, Non Stop appeared through Re Music in late 2024 before MS101 followed on Variety Music in January 2025. Re Music then released Catching the Vibe in May 2025 alongside a remix from Michael Hooker.

Later in 2025, Fran released About Love through Flown Records before collaborating with German Tedesco on Take Me, which brought Breaks and UK Bass elements into his catalogue. September also saw the release of I Am through Re Music, accompanied by a remix from Discognition.

Fran has also shared line-ups with international and Argentine artists including Gustin, DJ Mina, Nicolas Rada, Ezequiel Arias, Interaxxis, Emi Galvan, Seba Bustos, GUHUS and Kali Mist. His appearance on After Hours places that production and DJ background within a programme closely connected with the Progressive House scene that has shaped much of his work.

PatriZe opens After Hours 425 with Leo Perez and Dhany G's remix of Julian Nates' Megara, establishing a clear Progressive House direction that runs throughout the entire first hour. Agustin Sasson's A Trip to Rosario follows before his collaboration with Felipe Gonzalez on the remix of Antela's Hope in You, keeping the early stages melodic, measured and firmly focused on gradual development.

Nico Cerban's Resonator continues the progressive flow before Sebastian Busto reshapes Alice in Chains' Would? into an unexpected club setting, bringing a familiar rock reference into the programme without disrupting its underlying rhythm. Paul Hamilton and DJ Ruby's remix of D.J. MacIntyre and Juan Ibanez then leads into Dysco with Juan Ibanez, maintaining the deeper melodic character through the middle of PatriZe's hour.

Mauro Augugliaro's remix of Max Blade's Moonlook begins the final run before Gonzalo Sacc and Rodrigo Lapena reinterpret Cris Rosales' Fly Away on AH Digital. Berni Turletti's interpretation of Cubicolor's No Dancers closes PatriZe's section, completing an hour devoted entirely to Progressive House and built around remixes, long transitions and steadily evolving melodic tension.

Fran Bianco changes the character immediately with Henry Saiz's Voice of a Gentle Breeze, bringing Melodic House and Techno into the second hour before Ross from Friends' Epiphany introduces a direct House Music groove. Sasse and Stelios Vassiloudis follow with The Z, adding the tighter rhythmic framework of Tech House and giving Fran Bianco's opening sequence a markedly different shape from the first hour.

Âme's remix of Howling then draws the set into Deep House, before Marino Canal's Unfold returns to the melodic territory established by Henry Saiz. Weird Sounding Dude keeps the atmosphere deep with Learning to Let Go, while Jody Lei's Tell Me brings House back into focus ahead of the finale.

Per Hammar's End Station Mix of Jean Pierre and Tranganz's Flying Through You closes the episode with a decisive Peak Time Techno turn, giving Fran Bianco's hour its most forceful moment at the finish. Across After Hours 425, PatriZe's uninterrupted Progressive House journey is balanced by a second hour that ranges through Melodic House and Techno, House, Tech House, Deep House and driving Techno.
