Graham Goldhas published the tracklist for this edition of Esta La Musica onScientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an English-language Asian electronic musicradio station,DJ agency, promoter andmusic newsoutlet.
The show was aired on Saturday 30 November and is available through the Mixcloud player below. Esta La Musica takes its title from a tattoo on Graham’s right upper arm, received while he was performing in Los Angeles in the late 1990s.
After leaving Kiss 100 and moving to Southeast Asia, Graham used the phrase for a new radio show focused on Techno, House Music and related club styles. The programme now gives him a regular platform for new music from labels and artists across the electronic music spectrum.
Graham first gained major London recognition through his decade-long residency at Gulliver’s Club in Mayfair. From 1980 to 1990, he played there six nights a week, building the club experience that later supported his wider radio and international career.
His earlier route into music began in West London during the 1970s, when he co-founded The Funky Road Show with a friend. The mobile disco grew from his interest in Afrocentric music and became a sought-after name in the area.
By the age of 18, Graham was playing Black music five nights a week across London. His selections moved through Reggae, Soul, Disco and Jazz Funk, giving him a broad base before his later association with House, Trance and Techno.
During the 1980s, Graham worked across London pirate radio and later joined the Radio London Soul Night Out team. He then hosted a Saturday-night Soul programme on Capital FM, receiving the station’s Broadcaster of the Year award in 1985.
Graham’s involvement with Kiss FM London from its early period became a defining part of his public profile. His Kiss 100 broadcasts and Peach club brand helped build an international audience and placed him among the most recognisable British DJs of his generation.
He spent eight consecutive years in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll and was also listed by Dash among its most popular DJs in the world of all time. Graham continues to perform across Asia and internationally, keeping Esta La Musica active alongside his club and festival work.
