After Hours 388 returns with Hypnotised hosting the first hour and guest DJ Gabriel Filip taking the second, broadcast on Monday, 11 November 2019, from 10 PM to 12 AM Indochina Time (ICT), with a repeat on Friday from 10 AM to 12 PM (ICT). The show airs on Scientific Sound Asia, the Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, and music news outlet serving Japan, Thailand, China, Malaysia, and across Asia.
Hypnotised, based in Ghent, Belgium, witnessed the formative years of legendary parties including I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno, experiences that shaped his deep progressive and tech sound aesthetic. Together with his partner PatriZe, he co-hosts After Hours across three global radio stations: TM Radio (USA), Cosmos Radio (Germany), and Scientific Sound Asia (Vietnam), each broadcast highlighting progressive house producers, artists, and DJs.
His productions have regularly featured in Beatport's top 100 releases, earning recognition from prominent industry figures, whilst his debut EP People from the Otherworld reached number 4 on the charts. The lead track was subsequently remixed by Rui Da Silva, establishing his reputation within the progressive music community.
Beyond his own imprint AH Digital, Hypnotised has released through Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, SLC-6 Music, Pro-B-Tech Music, Stellar Fountain, Insomnia FM, Abstract Space Records, Eternal Beats, Beat Block Records, Absurd State, Aeriform Records, Morninglory Music, Mystic Carousel Records, Crop Circle, Disposition Recordings, Hot Cue Music, Estribo Records, IN2U Records, and Tech Deluxe. Upcoming projects are scheduled for Vesta Records, Elastic Dimension Records, Mallam, and Run Records.

Guest DJ Gabriel Filip.
This week's guest DJ for the second hour is Gabriel Filip. He embarked on his musical journey at a young age in Romania, where he was consistently attracted to electronic music. This interest stemmed from the influence of his social circle and friends, who were engaged in this specific genre at that time.
At 14, Gabriel found his inspiration during a visit to a friend who was immersed in electronic music. This friend had honed his skills and was able to demonstrate various programs, techniques, and styles that are integral to creating electronic music using different software. A year into this creative process, Gabriel decided to start a band with two other members in the city, and they called themselves 'Electric Sound'.
After a period of valuable experience expanding his knowledge in various aspects of participating in an electronic band, the group chose to part ways and pursue their individual paths. Despite this being a significant turning point, he never lost his passion for music. He continued to hone his skills in music production, consistently receiving positive feedback for his tracks.
In 2010, Gabriel relocated to Cyprus after a five-year period of visiting the country. During his time there, he encountered Aristos Vattis, a DJ and producer at Limassol Marina's rooftop bar, who also happened to be the founder of Airland Music. Following discussions regarding their shared interests, Gabriel joined the team and was afforded the opportunity to demonstrate his talents. His musical style has since evolved to encompass a fusion of Deep House and Progressive House.
Gabriel Filip joins as guest for the second hour, bringing his own catalogue of progressive house and melodic house and techno productions to the mix. The episode opens with GMJ and Matter's To The Stars on Proton Music, establishing a house music foundation that carries through Juan Ibanez's Ariad and the Luciano Scheffer Remix of Leo Perez and Dhany G's Jade on Balkan Connection.
The first hour progresses through Doki's Nova (Marcelo PM Remix) on AH Digital, Evegrem's Hydra, and Unstable Son's Dystopia featuring Lily Und Wolf (Martin Roth Remix) on Voltaire Music, which shifts into melodic house and techno territory. Empire Of The Sun's We Are The People (Tomek's Unofficial Remix) and Matan Caspi's Eunoia on Bonzai Progressive maintain momentum, followed by Experimental Feelings and Connie Di Maria's Platonic Love (Köschk Remix), also on Bonzai Progressive.
Glenn Molloy's Downtown (Findike Remix) on BC2 and A.J Roland's Mysteries of Life on Superordinate Music sustain the progressive trajectory before the transition to Gabriel Filip's segment. Jonathan Reyes and Gabriel Filip's Black Bird (Original Mix) on Droid9 marks the handover, with Kenan Savrun's Sagittarius on 3rd Avenue and Third Person's Two Of Us (Wolfson Remix) on Somatic Records continuing the progressive house aesthetic.
Forest Weed's Endless (Gabriel Filip Remix) on Old Sql Recordings showcases the guest's production work, whilst Arkatekt's Dimensions on AH Digital and Senses Of Mind's Third Dimension on Awen Records introduce melodic house and techno elements. The mix concludes with an ID track on Balkan Connection and Moshic's Remember the Days on Contrast Records, bringing the episode to a close with a final nod to peak time techno energy.
