Rising Soul Project’s DJ Adri Malaki joins Quentin Tarantoty and John Doe for a special back-to-back show on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an underground electronic music radio station, DJ agency, event promoter and music news publisher for audiences across Vietnam, China, Thailand, the Philippines and the rest of Southeast Asia.
Rising Soul, located in Japan, promotes numerous talented local DJs and artists, while also supporting the global underground House Music scene. They are actively engaged in organising events across Asia. The upcoming show will feature Liberty Grounds' leader and Before & After owner, Adri Malaki.
Adri Malaki gained experience in the early 2000s by participating in local performances in his home country of Switzerland. Being an early fan of turntablism and skate culture, these interests still influence and guide his music choices. Whether it's digging up old hip hop tracks or uncovering rare techno gems, Adri's collection of records is diverse and extensive.
By masterfully blending innovative techniques such as beat juggling and scratching with traditional methods of beat matching and mixing, he has carved a unique niche for himself in the music industry. This talent has opened the door for him to share stages with renowned artists like The Bloody Beetroots, DJ Low, and Sauce Jacqson, each performance showcasing his creativity and skill.
Now standing on the brink of transforming the nightlife experience in Asia, Adri has made a profound impact by launching two vibrant venues, known as Before And After, within the span of just a year. These spaces are not merely nightclubs; they are vibrant hubs that celebrate a rich tapestry of art, music, and dynamic performances.
B&A stands as a bold challenge to the commonplace practices of bottle service and the commercialisation that often overshadow the nightlife scene in Asia.
