Scientific Sound Asia presents General Levy live in Saigon, bringing one of the most recognisable voices in Jungle, Drum and Bass and UK sound system culture to Blue Monkey Saigon on Friday 9 October 2026. The event runs from 10 PM until 3 AM, with support from DJ Psycho-UK, Skitty, Mango and Darkus.

He has been a major presence in British underground music for decades, connecting Reggae and Dancehall sound system traditions with the development of Jungle and Drum and Bass. His distinctive vocal delivery, rapid-fire MC style and unmistakable stage presence have made him known to generations of listeners across underground bass music.

His career grew from the UK soundsystem scene, where MCs developed their craft through live performance, dubplates and direct interaction with the crowd. As Jungle emerged during the early 1990s, He became closely associated with the movement and its combination of breakbeats, heavy basslines, Reggae influences and soundsystem energy.

For many listeners, his collaboration with M-Beat on “Incredible” remains one of the defining vocal records from its breakthrough period. The track reached far beyond the underground and helped introduce the sound and intensity of UK Jungle to wider international audiences.

He remains an active live performer whose shows retain the direct relationship between MC and audience that sits at the centre of soundsystem culture. His performances place the voice at the heart of the session, working rhythmically with the music while responding constantly to the energy inside the venue.

The Saigon appearance continues Scientific Sound Asia's long involvement with Jungle, Drum and Bass and underground electronic music in Vietnam. Through international events, local residents and the Scientific Sound Asia radio station, the organisation continues to connect established global artists with audiences across Southeast Asia.

Support on the night comes from DJ Psycho-UK, Skitty, Mango and Darkus, bringing together key members of Scientific Sound Asia's Drum and Bass line-up for a full night of underground music. Their sets will draw on Jungle, Drum and Bass, Breaks and bass-heavy club sounds, creating the framework for General Levy's live appearance while keeping the energy moving across the entire event.

DJ Psycho-UK brings a distinctly UK-rooted approach shaped by years of involvement in underground electronic music, club culture and Scientific Sound Asia events. His selections regularly connect Jungle and Drum and Bass with Breaks, bass music and harder-edged sounds, giving his sets a broad but focused character that fits naturally around a live MC performance.

Skitty adds another strong presence to the line-up, bringing deep knowledge of the genre and a style grounded in rolling rhythms, weighty basslines and tightly selected underground material. His involvement strengthens the connection between the event and the wider culture that Scientific Sound Asia has continued to support in Vietnam.

Mango brings his own perspective to the night, helping widen the musical range while keeping the focus firmly on bass-driven club music. His selections add contrast within the support programme and help shape the pacing of the event before and after the headline set.

Darkus completes the support line-up with another locally established presence, adding further depth to the resident side of the bill. Together, DJ Psycho-UK, Skitty, Mango and Darkus give the night a strong Scientific Sound Asia identity, combining different approaches while supporting one of the most recognisable voices in UK soundsystem culture.

The venue for the night is Blue Monkey Saigon, located at Hẻm 199m Nguyễn Văn Hưởng in An Khánh, Thủ Đức. The event begins at 10 PM and continues until 3 AM, placing his live performance inside an intimate club setting.

Super Early Bird tickets will be released at 300,000 VND, followed by Early Bird tickets at 400,000 VND. Once those allocations have sold out, Standard Entry will be available for 500,000 VND, while Door Entry will be 750,000 VND, subject to capacity.

Advance booking is strongly recommended because the two discounted allocations are extremely limited. Standard tickets make up the main online allocation, available after the first discounted tickets have been sold.
