Graham Gold presented Esta La Musica 303 for Scientific Sound Asia in 2019. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news outlet, connecting audiences across the region and internationally.
The programme took its name from a tattoo on Gold’s right upper arm, acquired while he was DJing in Los Angeles in 1999. It became the title for his Techno-focused radio outlet after his departure from Kiss 100 and move to Southeast Asia.
Gold’s early musical interests centred on Afrocentric music, and he formed The Funky Road Show with a friend when he was 17 in the early 1970s. The mobile disco became a sought-after name in West London, where he was playing Black music five nights a week by the age of 18.
During the 1980s, he worked independently across London pirate radio while broadening his selections through Reggae, Soul, Disco and Jazz Funk. That period also followed his decade-long residency at Gulliver’s Club in Mayfair, which ran from 1980 to 1990.
His radio work led to the Radio London Soul Night Out team and a Saturday-night Soul programme on Capital FM. Gold received the Broadcaster of the Year award in 1985, recognising his work in radio during that era.
Gold later joined the early development of Kiss FM London, where his broadcasts brought his work to a far wider audience. His association with the station and the Peach club nights helped establish his profile within British electronic music.
He appeared in the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs for eight consecutive years, an acknowledgement of his international standing. His career subsequently took him to more than 150 cities in over 40 countries, with appearances including Glastonbury Festival, Gatecrasher, God’s Kitchen and Street Parade.
Alongside DJing and broadcasting, Gold released compilation albums that sold more than 700,000 copies and received six Gold and four Silver BPI certifications. These achievements placed his work across club culture, commercial compilation releases and specialist radio.
Later Scientific Sound Asia coverage placed Gold in Thailand, where he has performed in Bangkok, Pattaya and Koh Phangan while retaining links with London through Peach. Esta La Musica provides a setting for established and emerging electronic artists within his broader work as a DJ, producer and broadcaster.

Christian Nielsen’s Indestructible appears in the EdOne remix on Selador Promo, bringing the selection back towards melodic peak-time material.
Matt Fax then adds Universal on Colorize Promo, followed by Paul Hawcroft’s Surrender on Perfecto Black Promo. Rabo and Traumata continue the Progressive House direction with Nibiru on Playoff Promo, giving the middle of the episode a deeper and more atmospheric structure.
Edu Imbernon’s Starbuster on Bedrock keeps the programme within Progressive House, while Wally Lopez brings in Tech House through La Tacones on Timeless Moment. Bongani’s Some Things Are Fluorescent appears again on Recovery Collective, repeating one of the episode’s earlier progressive selections.
Christian Nielsen returns with After Midnight in the Florian Kruse remix on Selador Promo, adding another Melodic House and Techno entry to the late section. Hans Bouffmyhre’s Game For Anything on Suara and Schiller’s Das Glockenspiel in the Chris Coles and Latex Zebra bootleg close Graham Gold's Esta La Musica 303 with Techno at the centre.
