Jstar’s Control Tower 11 tracklist was published by Scientific Sound Asia in December 2018. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news outlet, connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Jstar is a London artist whose work spans Reggae and Dub as a DJ, remixer and producer. At the time of this publication, he had worked in those roles for 15 years and had gained recognition from David Rodigan, Norman Jay and Grandmaster Flash.
His releases include the albums Stand To Order and Dub To Order. The records form part of a catalogue that places his production work alongside his DJ and remix activity.
Jstar has also worked to promote Reggae artists in China, India and New Zealand. He had completed a tour of China before this 2018 post, extending his activity beyond the UK.

Control Tower is Jstar’s programme for reggae, dub, dancehall, bass music and sound system culture. This edition links roots vocal tracks, dub versions, MC-led cuts and UK bass rhythms across a broad archive tracklist.
General Roots open with Hardcore Vibes, followed by Prince Levy’s New Avenue and Parly B with Interrupt on Talking Parrot. Tony Rebel, Joseph Cotton and Danny Red then keep the early section close to reggae through Reality, God A Wok and When The Rain.
Iba Mahr and Gregory Morris introduce Dub with Armour Dub, before Ras Demo returns the programme to Reggae with Sekkle Up The Score. Urbs and Ward 21 then bring Dancehall into the sequence through Why We in the Jstar remix.
Danny T and Tradesman feature Speng Bond on Bududup, moving the set back into dubwise production. Jstar Meets Max Rub A Dub and Crosby follow with Dem Nah Ready, before OBF and Sr Wilson add a sound system entry with Soundman Session.
Illbilly Hitec and Horseman bring the selection back to Reggae with Happy, followed by King Tubby’s Dub Of A Woman. General Roots and Kiko Bun then add Nothing Can Stop Us, keeping the middle section tied to modern roots material.
Manasseh’s Absentee Dub and Richie Phoe’s Unity Dub build a dedicated Dub passage before Roxy Music appears through Todd Terje’s disco dub of Love Is The Drug. Fleck and Aries then shift the episode towards Jungle with My Sound in the Jstar remix.
DJ Madd’s Ghetto Sound moves the set into Bass Music, followed by Chopstick Dubplate and Daddy Freddy on Phenomenon. Omegaman and Desi Hyson then return to reggae influence with Babylon Don't Interfere in the Ornette Hawkins remix.
Channel 2 and Super Cat bring Dancehall back with Mad Over We, before Nubiyan Twist feature Super Cat on Dance Inna London. Ghost Writerz then add Tell Me, keeping the second half connected to UK bass and reggae-led MC culture.
Gappy Ranks and Protoje’s White Paper appears in the Deejay Theory edit, followed by XL Mad’s Wine So. Symbiz then introduce another bass-led entry with Jungji (容易), before Urban Knights and Blackout JA return the episode to Jungle through the Benny Kane remix of Step On Dem.
Macka B’s Are You Ready and Rohan Lee with The Recipe on Boogie Yagga System bring the closing section back to Reggae. Radikal Guru’s Build Dub, Ghost Writerz with RTKal, Serocee, Jago, Kosher and G.O.L.D on Nah Join, and Prince Jammy’s Interface close Control Tower 11 across Dub, Jungle and sound system pressure.
