Scientific Sound Asia is an English-language electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
circle. was founded by Pete Bidwell, who had residencies at various venues in Ibiza for many years. With a substantial repertoire of artists and dedicated guest mixes featured on the show, circle. has relationships with a broad range of internationally recognised DJs and producers.
Pete mixed the first hour, opening with TR20's Shine on Mirabilis Records and including Inaki Cerqueira and Exhile's Perpetual Ansiety on Silence Against Noise. The selection also features Can Durmus's Gravity for Movement Recordings and Lorent Sian and Vanholm's Vejo on Origami Limited.

This week’s guest was the award-winning Brighton-based DJ Lola, who was well known in the LGBT club scene. She had appeared at large-scale events including Brighton Pride, played at every major venue in Brighton, and was also a regular in London while touring internationally.
As co-founder of local club night SIZE., she promoted her own night, “Rumour Has It”, and co-hosted radio shows on Codesouth.FM and Brap FM. She was also a regular in Berlin and Brighton, and was due to join circle. Ibiza on tour.
On Saturday 18 January 2020, she was scheduled to perform alongside circle.’s DJ competition winner HelpMeImBlonde, Markus Saarländer and Pete Bidwell at the Tempest Inn, Brighton. The event was listed for Saturday the 18th of January 2020, while this programme features Lola’s exclusive circle. guest mix.
circle. 263 opens with the Progressive House of TR20’s Shine on Mirabilis Records before Yöurr’s Behind The Sun arrives via Songspire Records. Inaki Cerqueira and Exhile then bring Deep House into the first hour with Perpetual Ansiety on Silence Against Noise.
Andrey Kadyshevsky’s Dream in a Dream on Astrowave introduces Melodic House and Techno, followed by Mark Youssef and Novikoff’s People Around You for Opendecks Records. Can Durmus’s Gravity on Movement Recordings returns the set to Progressive House with a steady club focus.
lefthandsoundsystem’s Uze on Beachside Records brings in Deep Tech House, while Edvard Hunger’s Before Your Time on AH Digital restores the progressive thread. Pete closes his hour with Lorent Sian and Vanholm’s Vejo on Origami Limited, a Tech House selection.
In the second hour, Lola begins with Yotto’s Cassian Extended Mix of Nova on Odd One Out and Moonwalk’s Elessar on Blaufield Music. Matchy’s Escape Reality for Rebellion der Träumer and Oliver Koletzki’s Action Speaks Louder Than Words on Stil vor Talent extend the melodic direction.
Rob Hes follows with Paradise on Pursuit before returning later with The Age of Innocence, also on Pursuit. Between those records, Hools’ Caro on Steyoyoke keeps the second hour centred on measured melodic club music.
Arude’s Transcend on Suprematic leads into Beckers and D-Nox’s Skylab for Selador. Hidden Empire’s Lynx on Stil vor Talent provides the closing selection, completing Lola’s guest mix with the same melodic emphasis that shaped the hour.
