DJ Joshua announces his track list for Velvety Elements 325

Velvety Elements 325 on Scientific Sound Asia welcomes back DJ Joshua for another edition of his long-running House Music show. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, publishing music news while connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.

Based in Évora, Portugal, DJ Joshua has been involved with electronic music since the 1990s and developed his musical outlook through vinyl, cassettes, CDs and later digital formats. House Music has remained at the centre of that development even as his wider interests have moved through Techno, Drum and Bass, Chillout and other areas of electronic music.

That enduring connection with House shapes the identity of Velvety Elements, which concentrates on warmer, deeper and more soulful shades of the genre. Joshua favours smooth grooves, subtle movement and carefully paced selections rather than relying on immediate peak-time impact.

His involvement with Portugal's underground scene continued during quieter periods through event promotion, collaboration and support for other local artists. After stepping back from regular activity to concentrate on family life, his return through Floating Beats re-established his presence in radio and created space for deeper musical exploration.

Velvety Elements developed from that same creative direction while giving House Music a dedicated place within his broadcasting. Each episode is constructed around flow and continuity, allowing Deep House, Soulful House and related styles to develop naturally across the programme.

Joshua's recent studio output under the Joshua Marian name has reflected the same warmer side of his musical identity. Soul Zone and Love My Soul on Bassment Tapes, together with Tengo Rojo and Restless Lips on 659 Records, move through Deep House and Soulful House territory.

How to Play Guitar on JFLM Recordings takes his production work towards Melodic House and Techno while retaining the careful arrangement heard across his broader catalogue. Always on My Mind and I Can Go, You Can See on 14th Level Of Paradise extend the deeper side of his House production.

Joshua also uses the K Joshua alias for material that moves further into experimental and underground electronic territory. Promised Work on Kopoc, Stranger Things on dublucid and As You Are on Liberty Rhythm explore Hypnotic Techno, Dub Techno and Ambient influences alongside the more rhythm-focused work released under Joshua Marian.

These different aliases give him room to separate musical ideas without restricting his overall output to one sound. Joshua Marian carries much of the House-focused material, while K Joshua allows darker, more spacious and experimental electronic influences to develop independently.

In 2024, Joshua launched JFLM Recordings as an independent outlet for his own productions and collaborative work. The label provides a dedicated platform for long-term artistic development while giving him greater control over how new material is presented and released.

That studio activity feeds naturally back into his radio work, where new productions can sit alongside carefully selected records from other artists. Velvety Elements 325 continues that approach with another deep and groove-led House session built around subtle movement, warm textures and the understated musical character that defines the series.

DJ Joshua opens Velvety Elements 325 with Jack District’s “Breeze” before Alex V’s “I Feel It” settles the programme into warm Deep House territory. Eddie Leader then brings a straighter house pulse with “Believe In Something,” adding contrast without disrupting the measured opening.

Mick Jerome’s “C’Mon” leads into Chez Damier and Ron Trent’s “B1 Untitled 3,” reinforcing the deeper house foundation through classic Chicago-rooted influences. The Martinez Brothers and Stelios Vassiloudis follow with “The Causeway” and “Fluffy,” keeping the middle of the set focused on groove, space and understated movement.

Joshua Marian, Politics Of Dancing and Franck Roger continue the deep-house thread through the latter half, with “The Calling” giving the section a particularly Soulful House edge. Desos then shifts towards House Music with “Færdig,” bringing a slightly more direct club feel into the closing run.

Marco Lys, Ben Santiago and Lovely Laura finish the programme with “Real Love,” ending on a polished house groove after an episode dominated by deeper selections. Across Velvety Elements 325, deep house clearly leads, while the house tracks from Eddie Leader, Desos and Marco Lys provide a stronger rhythmic lift around the main sound.

Tune in to his live radio show on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. Indochina Time. If you miss it, you can listen to a replay on Friday from 6 to 8 a.m. ICT.
