After Hours 748 is hosted by Hypnotised and guest DJ Jourdan Bordes

After Hours 748 on Scientific Sound Asia sees Hypnotised return for another edition of the long-running series with guest DJ Jourdan Bordes. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.

Hypnotised is a DJ, producer and label head from Ghent, Belgium, whose work is built around atmosphere, gradual progression and layered melodic development. His connection with underground electronic music was shaped by events including I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno, which helped influence the measured approach that later became central to his DJ sets.

Over time, his musical direction became increasingly focused on deeper and more melodic club music. Extended transitions, controlled shifts in energy and carefully structured selections allow individual tracks room to develop while maintaining continuity across longer sessions.

After Hours, co-hosted with PatriZe, has become one of the principal outlets for that approach. The programme gives both DJs space to develop extended first-hour selections before introducing guest artists from across the international underground scene.

Hypnotised and PatriZe also present AH Digital Essentials on Proton Radio, where they showcase music connected with the label and its wider artist network. Hypnotised additionally hosts Energetic on Progressive Beats Radio, providing another platform for new and established producers.

Radio remains closely connected with his wider activity as a selector, producer and label manager. Each programme gives him room to explore new music while retaining the patient pacing and melodic detail that characterise his DJ work.

As co-founder and label manager of AH Digital, Hypnotised has helped develop an imprint centred on deeper underground electronic music. The label supports both established producers and newer artists while maintaining a clear identity built around atmosphere, progression and dancefloor function.

His own studio work follows many of the same principles found in his DJ sets. Melody and rhythm are treated as equal parts of the arrangement, allowing tension and emotional detail to develop without losing forward momentum.

Recent work includes his collaboration with PatriZe on a remix of Nikoow's Weird Things for AH Digital. The release continues the musical relationship the pair have developed through production, radio and their shared work behind the label.

Hypnotised has also reworked Blissing for SINCITY and collaborated with Frank Savio on a remix of Tabrissel's The Master of Time and Thoughts for COMET Records. His recent catalogue also includes Between The Echoes on Vandit Alternative and his remix of Ricardo Piedra's Bungalow for Bonzai Progressive.

Across these projects, his focus remains on careful arrangement, restrained tension and gradual development. The same balance carries into After Hours, where his opening hour is structured to unfold steadily rather than depend on abrupt peaks.

Episode 748 continues that format with Jourdan Bordes joining as the featured guest for the second hour. The pairing brings together Hypnotised's established approach to patient Progressive programming with a producer and international DJ whose career spans decades of touring, residencies and studio work.

Jourdan Bordes is an American DJ, producer and composer whose international career has included residencies across Thailand, Australia, London, Wales, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Texas. His work has taken him through a wide range of club environments and electronic music scenes while establishing long-term connections across North America, Europe and Asia.

In 2006 and 2007, Bordes toured with Paul Oakenfold, providing an important early international chapter in his career. From 2007 to 2009, he subsequently toured worldwide as the DJ for Samantha James during the period surrounding her number-one album Rise on OM Records.

His career later developed extensively in Thailand, where he established a particularly strong connection with the island of Koh Phangan. Bordes held a twelve-year residency associated with the island's Full Moon Festival and Jungle Experience, placing him within one of Southeast Asia's best-known destinations for international electronic music.

Alongside DJing, Bordes has developed a substantial catalogue as a producer and composer, with releases spanning Progressive House, House, Tech House, Techno and related electronic styles. His music has appeared through labels including Black Hole Recordings, Perfecto, Toolroom, Clinique Recordings, Proton Music, Phonetic Recordings, Moon Island Records, Ballroom Records and AH Digital Compilations.

His 2026 output includes Global Destinations on AH Digital Compilations, Cola with Rob Gritton on Nothing But and Beats Are Heavy with Sen-Sei and Col Lawton on Phoenix Soul. The same period has also brought self-released material including God Is Within, Inspire Magic, Your Life Will Change and Who Are You, showing the breadth of his current production work.

Earlier recent releases include Momento Perfecto through Ballroom Records, Face to Face, Hello Kido with Lokka Vox and Work It Ya'll on Cola & Lollipops. Together with his long history of international touring and residency work, these productions reflect an artist whose career continues to connect extensive DJ experience with an active studio catalogue.

Hypnotised opens the first hour with Allex's Full Measure before Mekci's Astral Echoes and Rich Trelo with Sineforma's Second Light establish the deep, flowing character of Progressive House. Abity's Golden and Hobin Rude's Grimflux continue that gradual development, favouring patient melodic movement and tightly controlled low-end pressure.

RNDØM's Fantasy receives a Martin Di Sciascio and DaveXombie remix before Michael A's Subconscious appears in Gav Easby's interpretation, keeping the centre of Hypnotised's hour focused on layered progression rather than abrupt changes. Liza Meier's Hidden Passion in the Yamil Soggetti remix then adds another AH Digital connection as the set grows increasingly atmospheric.

tinywander's Dono in Sam Borski's promo remix leads into Emma Lemus' treatment of Agustin Lo La's Everything We Dream in Life, bringing Hypnotised's opening hour to a measured and melodic conclusion. Across ten selections, the resident maintains an entirely Progressive House framework while varying the intensity through evolving arrangements, spacious breakdowns and gradually rising tension.

Jourdan Bordes begins the second hour with his own Face to Face, immediately continuing the Progressive House direction before Cosmic Ocean's remix of Aphra's Oracle and Manu's Buzzard deepen the melodic flow. Dimas Dixon's Beautiful Things follows on AH Digital, connecting Bordes' selection naturally with the label already represented during the first hour.

84 Avenue contributes both Temperance and Augmented, separated by Supa Cooks and Kazco's Machu Picchu on Mango Alley, giving the middle of the guest set a sustained run of contemporary Progressive House. Artic White's Rosea then receives an extended remix from D-Nox and Kamilo Sanclemente, bringing a more expansive club treatment before the final stretch.

Guy J supplies two consecutive Global Underground releases with Rise and No Drama, reinforcing the deeper and more sophisticated end of the Progressive House spectrum near the close. Jourdan Bordes finishes with his own The Magic Island on Perfecto Records, shifting into Electronic territory for the final track and giving After Hours 748 a distinct ending after twenty consecutive Progressive House selections.
