Graham Gold publishes playlist for 'Esta La Musica' 377.

Graham Gold has unveiled the playlist for his weekly programme Esta La Musica on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

The show takes its name from a tattoo Graham received in Los Angeles during the late 1990s, reflecting a lifelong connection to music and club culture. He first rose to international prominence through his influential broadcasts on London’s Kiss 100 FM, where his weekly shows became a defining part of the station’s electronic music identity during the growth of global dance culture.

Alongside his radio work, DJ Graham Gold became closely associated with the legendary Peach club nights in London, helping shape the sound of progressive house and trance throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Following his move to Southeast Asia, he launched Esta La Musica, continuing his commitment to underground electronic music while building strong connections with audiences across Asia and beyond.

Before his rise within electronic music, Graham developed his reputation through London’s club scene with a decade-long residency at Gulliver’s Club in Mayfair, performing six nights a week. His passion for Afrocentric music also led to the creation of The Funky Road Show alongside Duncan Uren, a mobile disco brand that became widely recognised throughout London’s West End during the 1970s.

By the age of eighteen, Graham was performing black music regularly across London, eventually moving into pirate radio before joining Capital FM, where he hosted a weekly soul programme and received the Broadcaster of the Year award in 1985. His later work with Kiss FM elevated him to international status, earning eight consecutive appearances in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll.

At the time of this episode, Graham remained active in the studio with releases spanning Deep House, Melodic House & Techno and Trance. His collaboration with Kollen on French Horn for Moon Island Records explored a groove-led Deep House direction, combining warm melodic textures with a steady rhythmic flow. The track also appeared on the Aeonian Vol. 2 compilation, reflecting continued support for his deeper productions within the underground scene.

During the same period, his collaboration with Samotarev on Rising received further recognition through the DJ Zombi & Maydan remix on Asymmetric Recordings. The reinterpretation leaned into Melodic House & Techno territory, balancing progressive structure with cinematic atmosphere and controlled energy.

Graham also continued revisiting his trance roots through releases on Discover Records. Tracks such as Glorified and the Manuel Le Saux remix of Moving On reflected the uplifting melodic trance sound closely associated with an earlier phase of his career, while maintaining a modern production approach. These productions highlighted the breadth of his musical identity, moving comfortably between progressive, melodic and trance-oriented electronic music.

Through his online radio show Esta La Musica, Graham Gold continued to present a broad spectrum of underground electronic sounds, combining decades of experience with ongoing studio work and carefully curated selections that moved fluidly between Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno and Trance.

The set opens with Lio Q’s Far From Home, establishing a Progressive House foundation before Jeremy Bass and Dany Deep continue the flow with It's Showtime in the All Fred remix. Around Us shifts the tone toward Melodic House and Techno with Pusher, introducing a deeper and more atmospheric direction.

Darren Emerson’s Sleeping Bag in the Ian Pooley remix adds a warm Deep House groove, while Tenerfuse and Anma alongside Mango and Aves Volare return the mix toward Progressive House through Tracking and Colours. These selections maintain a steady melodic progression.

The middle section deepens through Audiojack and Polar Bear’s Introspection in the Nick Curly remix, bringing another Deep House layer before Heckman and D'Wachman move fully into Melodic House and Techno territory with Rift and Bus 142.

Momentum builds with Q.U.A.K.E and Da Fresh alongside Randy Seidman, where Dance With Me and On It reinforce the melodic and club-driven structure. The Alexsander continues this direction with Eternal in the Lakech remix, maintaining the underground flow.

A shift in groove arrives with Donatto’s Rever, introducing a Tech House edge before Nick Manning closes the session with All Into You, returning to a classic House structure. Across the full mix, DJ Graham Gold blends Progressive House, Melodic House and Deep House into a smooth and cohesive underground journey.
