Samotarev
Samotarev real name Alexey Samotarev started his musical career in 1997 as Breakbeat and Electrohouse DJ in his home country Russia. He is one of the founders of The Python Project a Progressive House, Tech House and Techno trio started in Rostov-on-Don (Russia) by band members Yura Kolomiytsev, Alexei Samotarev (aka DJ Samotarev) and Eugeniy Litovchenko. At about the same time he started his DJ career playing with both vinyl and CDJ's and his musical influences started to grow.
He played in many Russian and Ukrainian clubs, at many festivals and private parties in cities such as Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Astrahan’, Volgograd, Voronezh, Stavropol’, Krasnodar, Cherepovez, Chita, Donezk, Naberezhnye Chelny and many more. In 2004 he released the first album Deep Pressure by The Python Project and a series of tracks were released afterwards.
He has also performed live sets using Ableton Live. Between 2004 and 2006 he was the co-organizer of the promo group Sabota DJ and organised massive music festivals in the south of Russia with attendess reaching the thousands, between 2005 and 2007 he was the co-host of the weekly radio show Adrenalin at Radio N.
In 2006 the first Python Project track was released on the Xeton Label and plenty of releases followed on the folowing labels Ascension, Balkan Connection, Behold, Bellarine, Composure, Jetlag, Monad, Presslab, Proton, Real Music, Segment, System and Toes In The Sand labels. In 2007 on of his releases 'Expectation' (Python Project) was supported by DJ Sasha at the Ministry Of Sound party in London.

In 2009 he started his solo career as Samotarev with the 'Space Travel' track released on The Lowbit Label (with remixes by Thomas Penton, Rachael Star and Joshua Collins). In 2009 Samotarev established his own label – the Green Snake Records label, its main direction being quality Progressive sound. The Green Snake label releases Russian and foreign artists, he deals with electronic musicians as well as life projects in his role.
In 2012 he moved to Saint-Petersburg where he became the resident of Parkking, a famous afterparty club and played in many other popular clubs such as Music Hall, 4:20 Music Lab, Prodj Club, OM Café, Look, Q Club, also performing at Chillout Planet Festival, working all of the time as a producer.

In 2016 Samotarev moved in Thailand (Koh Phangan) and became the resident at 4U Bar & Lost Paradise, took part in Scandal Festival (Koh Phangan). He regulary plays in KC Beach Club, The Beach and Gecko Club (Koh Samui), 360 Bar, Loi Lay, Samsara, Guy’s Bar, Local Bar, Coast Resort, Seaboard Bungalows, Amsterdam Bar, Jungle Experience and Mustache (Bangkok). Samoterev will never stop producing, one of Samotarev’s singles he made whilst living in Thailand “Voice of Phangan” (Bonzai Progressive) was in the TOP 100 Progressive House at Beatport.
