After Hours announces host Patrize and guest Cris Rosales for 439

PatriZe hosts another edition of After Hours with guest DJ Cris Rosales on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.

PatriZe is a Belgian DJ, producer, radio host and label head now based in Thailand. His musical background began with Trance and Techno before gradually developing towards the deeper and more melodic side of Progressive House.

A significant point in his career came in 2010 through his connection with Pole Folder of Bedrock Records and Reworck. He later won the Night Museum DJ competition in France, which gave him the opportunity to open for Guy J and strengthened his profile within the progressive scene.

PatriZe has since developed a style built around long blends, controlled pacing and carefully layered melodies. Subtle tech influences add weight to his selections without disrupting the patient structure that has become central to his sets.

Radio has become an important part of his work alongside club performances and production. He hosts both After Hours and Foundations, using the programmes to present established artists, emerging producers and new underground music from around the world.

His broadcasting activity has also extended to international guest appearances, giving him another outlet for supporting artists and records outside the commercial mainstream. These programmes complement his work as a selector by allowing longer-form ideas to develop away from the limitations of a conventional club set.

In 2015, PatriZe co-founded AH Digital with long-time collaborator Hypnotised. The label was created as a platform for deeper electronic music while giving both artists a direct outlet for their own productions and a growing international roster.

Their early People from the Otherworld project reached number four on Beatport’s Progressive House releases chart and entered the top twenty of the Techno and Tech House release charts. The title track was later remixed by Rui Da Silva, bringing further international attention to the label.

AH Digital has since become central to PatriZe’s work as a producer, curator and label head. Through the imprint, he continues to support new music, discover emerging artists and maintain close links with the wider underground scene.

Based in Thailand, PatriZe has also remained active within the local club community through performances around Pattaya and Jomtien. Venues including Beachspot and Thai Lounge & Terrace have provided regular settings for his deeper and more progressive selections.

His production work continues alongside radio, label activity and live appearances. That combination keeps him closely connected with both the creative and curatorial sides of electronic music.

After Hours remains one of the main outlets for that work, pairing PatriZe’s own first-hour selections with guest DJs from the international underground. Each edition gives him space to build gradually before introducing another artist’s perspective in the second half of the programme.

Guest DJ Cris Rosales (second hour)

This week’s guest DJ is Cris Rosales, an Argentinian DJ and producer from Buenos Aires whose work has developed around melodic, atmospheric and groove-led electronic music. A self-taught artist, he began learning both DJing and production independently before gradually building a catalogue of original releases and remixes.

His early influences include Mariano Mellino, Robert R. Hardy, Martin García, Cid Inc. and Khen. Those artists helped shape an approach based on detailed melodies, patient development and rhythmic movement rather than short, peak-driven arrangements.

Rosales began gaining wider recognition through releases on labels including Ambber Records, AH Digital and Droid9 South America. His Beatport catalogue documents a steady development from his earlier material into a broader and increasingly mature production style.

One of his early releases, Atom, appeared through Ambber Records in 2021 and helped establish his name within the underground scene. Support from artists including Diego Berrondo, Christian Monique and Evegrem further increased the visibility of his work during that period.

His recent output shows a noticeable expansion in scope. The Tears of Wilderness project on Droid9 South America includes Sunset in Midgard, Realm of Wildflowers, Entering the Void, Haitian Spirit, Lost in Time and Abyss of Hope, forming a substantial body of material centred on atmosphere and detailed electronic arrangement.

Sunset in Midgard later appeared again through the Selected Works 2020 | 2026 collection, reinforcing its place within his developing catalogue. Rather than relying entirely on conventional club structures, this side of his work demonstrates a broader interest in texture, mood and more spacious electronic composition.

Cris has also continued his remix activity, including his interpretation of Aglaia Rave’s Jnana for Molon Labe Records. The remix returned him towards a more club-focused progressive direction while retaining the melodic detail associated with his own productions.

His Valhalla release on One Of Those Days further extends that side of his catalogue. The track first appeared in early 2026 and is also scheduled to feature on the Life Memories, Vol. 11 compilation later in the year.

Across these releases, Rosales has developed beyond the profile of an emerging producer and built a more substantial body of work across several independent labels. His music continues to balance emotional detail with rhythm and careful arrangement, giving his catalogue a recognisable identity without restricting it to one formula.

For his appearance on After Hours, Cris Rosales brings that Buenos Aires background and growing production experience into the guest section of the programme. His contribution adds another South American perspective to a series built around deeper underground electronic music and international artist exchange.

PatriZe opens the first hour of After Hours 439 with Tenerfuse's "Follow" on 3rd Avenue before Agustin Pietrocola's remix of Matias Ocaño and Travis Jesse's treatment of Florian Gasperini establish a deep Progressive House direction. Andre Moret continues that patient build before Alex O'Rion's remix of RIGOONI's "When Midnight Comes" introduces a broader melodic lift without breaking the measured pace.

Paul Deep's remix of Dmitry Molosh's "Compass" leads into Alex O'Rion's own "Mirari", reinforcing the first hour's emphasis on long-form progression and carefully controlled tension. Antrim's remix of Ismael Rivas, Dimuth K's "Aphelion" and Nicolas Rada with Antrim's "Borderline" complete PatriZe's section with a deeper, increasingly atmospheric final run.

Cris Rosales begins the second hour with Martin Buttrich's ambient treatment of Atelier Francesco and Astrid, creating a spacious introduction before Bolivar's remix of Lucefora and Boggan shifts the rhythm back towards the dancefloor. YokoO and Retza then bring a clear Organic House character with "Euneirophrenia", while Hermanez keeps the section rooted in a warm, melodic club framework.

Alex Vidal's remix of Lio Q and Gabriel Amato's "Beyond The Sky" steer the guest hour back towards Progressive House, with Da Luka's unreleased "Immersed" extending the deeper late-night feel. Ben Archbold closes the selection with the intro mix of "SF" on Balance Music, giving Cris Rosales' set a restrained ending built around atmosphere rather than a hard peak.

Across Episode 439, PatriZe provides the more consistently progressive first hour while Cris Rosales broadens the second with ambient and organic influences alongside deeper progressive material. The result is a two-hour programme centred on Progressive House, with Deep Progressive House, Organic House and atmospheric electronic elements providing the main stylistic variations.
