After Hours announces host Patrize and guest Nicolas Giordano for 437

PatriZe hosts another edition of After Hours on Scientific Sound Asia with guest DJ Nicolas Giordano. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.

PatriZe is a Belgian DJ, producer, radio host and label head based in Thailand. His early musical interests centred on Trance and Techno before gradually developing towards the deeper and more melodic side of Progressive House.

A significant point in his career came in 2010 through his connection with Pole Folder of Bedrock Records and Reworck. He later won the Night Museum DJ competition in France, which gave him the opportunity to open for Guy J and strengthened his profile within the progressive scene.

Over time, PatriZe developed a style built around long blends, controlled pacing and carefully layered melodies. His selections often carry subtle tech influences, but the emphasis remains on flow, depth and gradual development.

Radio has become an important part of his work alongside club performances and production. He hosts both After Hours and Foundations, using the programmes to present established artists, emerging producers and new underground music from around the world.

His broadcasting activity has also extended to guest appearances on international stations, giving him another outlet for supporting artists and records outside the commercial mainstream. These programmes complement his work as a selector by allowing longer-form ideas to develop away from the limitations of a conventional club set.

In 2015, PatriZe co-founded AH Digital with long-time collaborator Hypnotised. The label was created as a platform for deeper electronic music while giving both artists a direct outlet for their own productions and a growing international roster.

Their early People from the Otherworld project reached number four on Beatport’s Progressive House releases chart and entered the top twenty of the Techno and Tech House release charts. The title track was later remixed by Rui Da Silva, bringing further international attention to the label.

AH Digital has since become central to PatriZe’s work as a producer, curator and label head. Through the imprint, he continues to support new music, discover emerging artists and maintain close links with the wider underground scene.

Based in Thailand, PatriZe has also remained active within the local club community through performances around Pattaya and Jomtien. Venues including Beachspot and Thai Lounge & Terrace have provided regular settings for his deeper and more progressive selections.

His production work continues alongside radio, label activity and live appearances. That combination keeps him closely connected with both the creative and curatorial sides of electronic music.

After Hours remains one of the main outlets for that work, pairing PatriZe’s own first-hour selections with guest DJs from the international underground. Each edition gives him space to build gradually before introducing another artist’s perspective in the second half of the programme.

This week’s featured DJ is Nicolas Giordano, an Argentinian DJ and producer from Pilar in Buenos Aires. His work has developed around deeper, melodic and progressive electronic music, with careful mixing and a strong sense of atmosphere central to both his sets and productions.

Giordano began as a self-taught DJ before moving into production more seriously in 2016 through work with Sonor Pro School. That period helped him refine the technical side of his music while developing a style built around groove, detail and gradual progression.

His early productions led to releases through labels including Bevel Rec, Massive Harmony, AH Digital and BQ Recordings. Those projects established his name within the South American underground and opened the way for a steadily expanding catalogue.

His recent output shows a broader direction than his earlier work. Releases such as Aerial, Line One, City, Sunglasses, Few Things and La Vida have appeared through Protagonist Soul and related imprints, with much of this material leaning towards Organic House and deeper club structures.

That development has continued through Fine China on Hoomidaas and The Unison on Protagonist Soul. Both tracks reinforce the warmer and more spacious side of his current production work while showing a clear progression from the more purely club-focused material of his earlier years.

Giordano has also remained active as a remixer, including his interpretation of Marchesan’s Aurora for Low & Mid Records. His remix of Wassu’s Endless Love for Songspire Records adds another example of his ability to reshape existing material while retaining his own melodic identity.

Further releases such as Shy and Alamo demonstrate the consistency of his current studio activity. Alamo, released through Protagonist Soul in September 2026, continues the deeper and more organic direction now running through much of his catalogue.

His work also extends beyond one narrow format, with tracks such as I’m Tired showing a more direct club approach alongside the softer and more atmospheric material found elsewhere in his catalogue. This variety gives Giordano room to move between different moods without losing the understated character that connects his productions.

Alongside his releases, Nicolas presents the Low and Desert podcast series, where he combines his own music with selections from emerging DJs and producers. The programme gives him another platform for supporting new artists while developing the curatorial side of his work.

His SoundCloud and Mixcloud further reflect that balance between DJing, production and longer-form programming. Across each format, he favours atmosphere, smooth transitions and melodic continuity over abrupt changes in direction.

For his appearance on After Hours, Nicolas Giordano brings that evolving Buenos Aires background into the guest section of the programme. His contribution adds another South American perspective shaped by years of production, podcasting and a steadily expanding international release catalogue.

PatriZe opens After Hours 437 with Nicolas Giordano's "The Reason" in the Navaa remix before Missus continues the warm Organic House direction with "Land of Milk and Honey". Nicolas Rada's remix of Mariner + Domingo then adds a deeper turn through Deep House, giving the first hour a gradual and understated opening.

Michael Kay's "Sail Away" shifts the set decisively towards Progressive House, followed by LADISLAØ and Volen Sentir as the rhythm becomes more expansive and melodic. Sarah Chilanti with Nōpi briefly restore the organic feel before Kyotto and Greenage close PatriZe's section with another sustained progressive run.

Nicolas Giordano begins the second hour with Luca Cociuffo and his own "Low & Desert", keeping the programme firmly rooted in Progressive House from the outset. Julian Rodriguez with JFR and the Matt Rowan remix of Nicolas Giordano with Marco Lopez continue that progression, giving the opening half of the guest set a consistent deep melodic pull.

Neptun 505's remix of Icoen introduces Melodic House and Techno before Hacobb's treatment of Phatkat extends the more driving melodic section. Fede Archdale, Juan Ibanez and Ric Niels then guide the set back towards Progressive House, reconnecting the second hour with the deeper flow established earlier.

Agustin Pietrocola's remix of Ulises Espindola closes the episode with another measured Progressive House selection, bringing the guest hour to a controlled finish. Across Episode 437, the programme is dominated by Progressive House, with Organic House shaping the first hour and Melodic House and Techno providing the main contrast in the second.
