Event Details

The debut release came from Marco Mei, who returned to solo production after an absence of almost fourteen years. Old School Variety E.P. contained the tracks Buongiorno and Buonasera, connecting House Music and Tech House with the experienced club approach that has defined much of Marco's career.

そうしたつながりから、彼はレーベルの最初のリリースおよびローンチイベントにふさわしい人物として自然と選ばれました。未知の関係から始めるのではなく、Scientific Sound Recordsは、そのラジオ番組や制作、出演活動がすでにプラットフォームと密接に結びついているアーティストを第一弾として迎え入れたのです。

マルコは、Italy's Houseやアンダーグラウンドなエレクトロニック・シーンが発展し始めた1991年にDJ活動を開始しました。30年以上にわたり、ヨーロッパ、アジア、その他の世界各国で公演を行いながら、ハウス、ディープハウス、テックハウス、ディスコ、テクノなど、幅広い音楽ジャンルを確立してきました。

The Villa Projectのローンチは、その歴史をHo Chi Minh Cityに8時間にわたる充実したプログラムとして蘇らせました。マルコによる深夜0時から午前2時までのヘッドライナー・セットは、DJブースとScientific Sound Recordsのデビュー・リリースを直接結びつけ、レーベルのローンチに明確な音楽的焦点を与えました。

Marco Mei followed from midnight until 2 AM, taking over at the point when the event moved fully into its headline section. The timing gave him two hours to represent both his wider DJ history and the House-focused direction surrounding Old School Variety E.P.

Slamer Limは午前2時から4時までプレイし、イベントを夜更かしの後半へと引き継ぎました。その後、DJ Nikolaiiが午前4時から朝6時の終了まで司会を務め、一晩中ラグジュアリーなオープニングを途切れることなく展開するためのラインナップを完結させました。

The full programme therefore moved through four two-hour sets rather than relying on a short headline appearance surrounded by brief support slots. That structure gave each DJ room to establish a distinct part of the night while keeping Marco Mei and the new release at the centre of the event.

このローンチは、Scientific Sound Asiaが放送とプロモーションの枠を超えて発展を遂げるための新たな一歩でもありました。Scientific Sound Recordsは、過去5年間にわたり同局を通じて形成されてきたコミュニティに繋がるプロデューサー向けに、直接リリースできるプラットフォームを構築しました。

オープニングの入場料は14万ドンで、イベントは金曜日の夜から土曜日の朝にかけて、Thảo Điềnで開催されました。The Villa Projectが舞台となり、Houseミュージックやエレクトロニックミュージック、そしてScientific Sound Asiaコミュニティと直接つながる新たなインディペンデント・レコードレーベルの始まりをテーマとした発表会が行われました。

The Scientific Sound Records launch party therefore marked more than another Marco Mei appearance in Ho Chi Minh City. With DJ Psycho-UK, Marco Mei, Slamer Lim and DJ Nikolaii playing across eight hours, the night formally connected five years of radio activity with a new label and Marco's first solo release in almost fourteen years.
